Welcome

Welcome to Dr Georgiou's Polymer Group (GPG).

Figure: Some of the polymers that can be synthesised using living polymerisation techniques like GTP. Note that different colours represent blocks with different chemistry and that the arrows represent what can be easily varied.

Prof. Georgiou's Polymer Group (GPG) is involved in many different areas of polymer science and engineering. The group is currently based at the Department of Materials at Imperial College London. The lab is fully equipped for the synthesis and characterisation of well-defined polymers (linear, stars, blocks, multiblocks, comb-like, gels etc). The GPG has experience in living and controlled polymerisation techniques with a special interest and expertise in Group Transfer Polymerisation (GTP). If you would like bespoke block based well-defined polymers or/and a series of polymers with varying structural parameters (like molar mass, composition or even architecture) please contact Professor Georgiou.
